Fans get excited as Jennylyn Mercado hints at 'ultimate showbiz comeback'

Fans got excited and wild after Ultimate Star Jennylyn Mercado teases her “Ultimate Showbiz Comeback.”

Jennylyn posted a picture of herself together with director Real Florido, producers Rj Agustin and Jon Verzosa, and writer Rona Co on her Facebook page on May 3.

She simply captioned the post with “Soon… #TheUltimateComeback.”

Jennylyn's last big project was the Philippine adaptation of the hit Korean drama series Descendants of the Sun with Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes. On the other hand, her last movie was 3pol Trobol: Huli Ka Balbon! In 2019 with Coco Martin and Comedy Concert Queen AiAi delas Alas.

Jennylyn took a break in showbiz after she and Dennis Trillo got married in 2021, and got pregnant with their first child, Dylan Jayde, who was born in 2022.

Because of this, fans could not contain their excitement about the possibility of her comeback and took to social media to express it.

“Excited sa balitang come back mo Jenn. Sana very soonnn,” one netizen commented on her post.

“We are waiting for your comeback, hope na magkaroon ka rin ng teleserye we luv u so much Jen,” one netizen added in the comments.

“excited much I miss you my #ultimateIDOL” one netizen added.

During Dennis' interview on the Updated with Nelson Canlas podcast in October 2022, Jennylyn, who was with the actor at the time, already hinted at her comeback.

“Malapit na. First quarter next year,” she said.

Jennylyn, however, has not announced any details yet about her comeback.
