Prior to his enlistment date, BH Entertainment announced to Korean media, "To minimize crowding on the day of her enlistment, no separate official event will be held, and we ask for your understanding that she is enlisting privately for safety reasons. Since the entrance ceremony for the recruit training center is a private event with a large number of soldiers and their families, we ask fans to refrain from visiting the site."

Jinyoung shared a recent selfie on his social media right before entering the military, showing off his short hair style.

GOT7 members Jay B and Yugyeom were spotted sending off Jinyoung. A photo of Jinyoung flashing a peace sign while in a hoodie with his buzzcut hair surfaced online.

Currently, Jinyoung is the second member of GOT7 to enlist in the military followed by leader Jay B.

The other two older members of GOT7, Jackson and Mark, are not Korean nationals and are not required to enlist in the Korean Military. Similarly, BamBam is also non-Korean and isn't required to enlist in the military.

The remaining members Youngjae, Yugyeom, are scheduled to enlist in the military later.

Earlier this year, on February 26, Jinyoung had his fan concert dubbed as "2023 PARK JINYOUNG FAN CONCERT - RENDEZVOUS in Manila: Secret Meeting Between You and Me" held at New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
