For teen actor Phytos Ramirez, discipline is the key. He went from 220 pounds to a fit and lean 175 pounds. How did he get back in shape?

Phytos answered, “Nagcro-cross fit ako. ‘Yun ‘yung pinaka sport ko hanggang ngayon. Nagstop ako sa basketball. Para siyang circuit training na sobrang intense. Within four months, I lost 45 pounds,” he said.

He continued, “Grabe din ‘yung diet ko. Chicken and egg lang and for the whole day na ‘yun. May vegetables din sa diet pero bawal akong mag-fruits kasi may sugar ‘yun.”

Actor, TV host and certified foodie Mikael Daez said that it all boils down to moderation. His five simple tips? “Go to the gym, run, drink water, eat meat and sleep.”

Achieving Cosmo Bachelor Rodjun Cruz’s Greek god-like physique is no mean feat. For him, eating healthy and working out should not be a seasonal thing. It should be a lifestyle.

Kambal Sirena leading man, Aljur Abrenica believes in variety so that working out will be more fun.

“I’m trying new sports ngayon. I’m into MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). Sinimulan ko na ‘yung Jiujitsu and Judo. Nagte-training ako para mas makadagdag naman sa healthy regimen ko para hindi lang ako ma-stuck sa pagwowork-out,” said the moreno hunk.

Likewise, Carmela leading man, Alden Richards looks forward to trying out new sports in order to get more fit. He also mentioned that adding more protein and good carbohydrates to your diet is highly beneficial.

“I want to try Mixed Martial Arts. A lot of my friends in GMA like Rocco [Nacino] and Aljur [Abrenica] are really involved. I wanna do it in a more practiced way na I will also benefit from it. If mabigyan ng chance, I wanna try mountain climbing, trekking, biking or even extreme stuff like bungee jumping,” said the mestizo hottie.

Award-winning actor Dennis Trillo is an advocate of perseverance. He stressed that muscles don’t develop overnight.

He advised, “[Have a] healthy diet, mag-gym ka kapag may oras ka. Kahit walang oras, pilitin mo na magka-oras ka.”
