GMA Gala 2023, posibleng maging biggest showbiz event ngayong taon

"Bigger siguro 'yung celebration natin this year kasi finally we're coming out of the pandemic, nag-ease na rin 'yung mga restrictions, gumaganda 'yung outlook for everyone."

Ito ang pahayag ni Joy Marcelo, ang vice president ng Sparkle na talent management arm ng GMA Network, sa kanyang panayam sa GMA internal media tungkol sa nalalapit na GMA Gala 2023

Bukod sa magiging mas malaking pagtitipon ng mga nagniningning na mga artista, magsisilbing "thanksgiving" celebration na rin ang naturang event para sa mga magagandang nangyari sa Kapuso Network ngayong taon.

"We have a lot of artists, not just artists of GMA, but 'yung mga partners natin, kasama na rin natin sila. Ang sabi nga namin, parang hindi lang siya GMA Gala itself, para na siyang industry event because it's the coming together of all of our partners as well. Thanksgiving na rin for all the good things that have been happening to GMA and to Sparkle.

"And this year we have very, very strong collaborations with both old and new partners of GMA, so siguro it's one of the best times to celebrate talaga."

Excited rin ang Sparkle executive dahil bago at mas "inclusive" ang tema ng GMA Gala this year. Para sa mga hindi nakakaalam, "Old Hollywood Glam" ang tema noong nakaraang taon.

"This year ang theme natin ay 'elegant formal'. Before we debated, 'Ano, magfi-Filipiniana ba, or mag-ha-Hollywood ulit like last year?' Then we decided na we needed to be more open, more inclusive for everyone. So it's much simpler, which is 'elegant formal' gala. Ang kaibahan siguro this year ay mas marami tayo."

Abala ang buong Sparkle team kasama ang iba't ibang partners at departamento ng GMA network, sa pagbuo ng GMA Gala 2023

Tinatayang mahigit isang libong guests ang dadalo sa GMA Gala, kaya naman puspusan rin ang paghahanda ng mga grupo na bumubuo ng event.

"We are expecting probably a thousand. We have the artists of GMA, of course, Sparkle talents, tapos kasama na rin 'yung artists ng mga partners natin. Kaya medyo madami-dami, and then there's also our friends from the business sector and other media partners. Kaya expect a lot of fun, glitz, and glamour. Ito na 'yung pinaka-hihintay natin na event of the year."

Tulad ng nakaraang edisyon, hangad ng GMA Gala 2023 na makalikom ng suporta at karagdagang pondo para sa GMA Kapuso Foundation, para sa mga nakalinyang programs nito.

"That's why lahat kami, we are very thankful dahil ang daming natin friends and partners that also help us for this event. Noong una medyo maliit lang ito e, but now it is the biggest showbiz industry event for the year."
