K-pop boy band SEVENTEEN's main dancer and visuals Jun recently made his solo comeback with the release of his single “PSYCHO” and its wicked music video.
For the past few weeks, Jun embarked on numerous promotional activities and was spotted grooving to his song with other K-pop idols. And he isn't showing signs of halting any time soon as he freshly drops the performance video of the newly released track.
This time around, Moon Junhui wants you to focus on the beguiling, detail-oriented, and creative choreography of “PSYCHO.” The video saw the K-pop artist in four different settings and personas.
The first one saw Jun in his white costume that almost mimics a straitjacket indicating that he's a mental patient. The video then transitions to Jun breaking free from his straitjacket-like outfit and into a shirtless oversized blazer which could be translated as him getting ready to be transformed.
After flaunting his abs, the video shifts to Jun dressed up in a monochromatic red lab coat mimicking a doctor or a mad scientist. As he conducts experiments on himself, he becomes a full-on psycho and ends the performance video in his Joker-inspired costume.
The chaos and fire outside of the building are an indication of Moon Junhui being able to escape the mental facility and en route to show his true self and wreak havoc.
As Carats ourselves, we could truly say that “PSYCHO” is one of Jun's most creative releases during the entirety of his career. From the lyrics to the performance video, the song sends a message that you should embrace your true self and be who you wanna be.
Congratulations, Jun!
