Carats woke up to a surprise today as K-pop boy band SEVENTEEN's ultimate rapper and performer Vernon lowkey released his song with Japanese rapper and hip-hop artist (sic)boy.
Best known for his subtleties, Vernon shared the new song on his Instagram story, wrote “OUT NOW,” and said nothing more. Titled “Miss You,” the new track is part of (sic)boy's newly released album HOLLOW.
As spotted on the credits, Vernon alongside (sic)boy, KM, and Robb Roy wrote the lyrics and composed the song. As a true all-rounder, the Korean rap god also sang the track along with (sic)boy.
“Miss You” expresses the rollercoaster of emotions one goes through when they're longing for someone. Vernon's lyrics goes, “I know I'm better off alone but I'm still looking for someone to make my world a bit more colorful, yeah-oh 'cause I'm not good at being lonely, yeah but I'm not good at being sorry.”
The song showed off Vernon and (sic)boy's powerful flair as slick rappers in the music industry and further cemented their stance as versatile artists who can do more than just sing and rap.
Vernon further surprised his Carats though by reposting (sic)boy's announcement regarding the release of the song's music video. According to the Japanese rapper, the accompanying music video will be released tonight, July 19, at 7:00 PM.
Congratulations, Vernon and (sic)boy!
