Donita Rose is back in Manila to make your mornings happier

After over a year and a half in the United States, Donita Rose is back in the Philippines and starting next week, she can be seen from Monday to Friday in GMA's Basta Every Day Happy.

Since we didn’t hear much from her in a while, what can we expect from Donita in the show?

“Dahil nag-aral ako ng culinary for one year and then pagkatapos nun, umuwi ako sa America, ngayon mas magaling ako, mas mayabang,” she joked.

The actress and former VJ tried an unfamiliar industry as she dipped into the Culinary Arts. It had its challenges as it took much effort and energy, but her drive and enthusiasm overcame the trials.

“I really wanted to immerse myself in the real world… That’s one reason I went back to the States para ako na 'yung mismong [kikilos] for myself. Gusto ko mag-umpisa sa pinakababa para pag akyat ko, pwede [kong] magpagmayabang na ako mismo gumawa,” she said.

Now that she’s back in Manila for the summer, she’s looking forward to share what she has learned about cooking, among others, through the new morning show that she’s proud to be a part of.

“This show is not necessarily a cooking show, it’s not necessarily a talk show. It’s just about everything happy, so I’m excited kasi itong concept ng show na ‘to ay medyo out of the box,” she declared.

The concept and the people behind the show are all positive, making her even more excited for what lies ahead.

“Ang mangyayari dito ay mag-eenjoy lang kami tapos ieere, ganun lang,” she shared, laughing.

Catch Donita’s homecoming in ‘Basta Every Day Happy,’ starting this Monday, May 12, before The Ryzza Mae Show.
