Lee Do-hyun to enlist in the military this August

The Glory star Lee Do-hyun will begin his mandatory military enlistment starting this month. Korean entertainment site Soompi shared the official statement released by his agency Yuehua Entertainment.

It reads, “Hello. This is Yuehua Entertainment.

“This is a notice regarding actor Lee Do Hyun's enlistment.

“After receiving basic military training at the training center [starting] on August 14, Lee Do Hyun will fulfill his military duty through ROKAF's (Republic of Korea Air Force) military band.”

The agency added, “No separate official event will be held on the day of enlistment, and we ask fans to refrain from visiting as it is a private event that numerous military personnel and family members will be attending.

“Please send your warm support and encouragement to Lee Do Hyun who will return in good health after dutifully carrying out his military duties.”

As mandated by South Korean law, all able-bodied men in South Korea between the ages of 18 and 28 are required to serve in the country's armed forces for about 18 to 21 months.

Do-hyun acted alongside award-winning actress Song Hye-kyo in the riveting revenge drama The Glory. He is currently dating one of his co-actors in the project, Lim Ji-yeon.

He also appeared in other series including Sweet Home, Hotel del Luna, and The Good Bad Mother.
