'Maging Sino Ka Man' star Mikoy Morales won the Best Performance of an Actor award at the 2023 Cinemalaya indie film fest for his stellar performance in the movie 'Tether.'
Mikoy Morales took the time to savor the quiet moments to fully accept the fact that he really is Cinemalaya's best actor this 2023.
The Kapuso star won the highest award for an actor in the recently concluded indie film fest for his stellar performance in the movie Tether.
"And in the quiet, it sinks in," Mikoy said in his Instagram post a day after he received the coveted award.
He continued, "Ang hirap tanggapin, sa totoo lang. Nahirapan akong aminin na malaking bagay ito sa akin pero heto, inupo at buong-buong tinatanggap nang walang defense mechanisms - AKIN."
Mikoy went poetic as he attests that he is on the right track after earning his biggest milestone in his acting career one decade since he joined showbiz.
"Pucha. Ito yun. Sa paglutang-lutang sa dagat ng mga hinahanap, hindi naman pala tayo nawawala sa kung saan naman talaga tayo nararapat. Nandito na, eh. Nandito pa."
In the same post, Mikoy expressed gratitude to those who helped him achieve the Best Performance of an Actor award, including the Tether team, his acting coach Ana Feleo, and his Sparkle and Aguila Entertainment family.
He also expressed appreciation to his family and friends, and to his girlfriend Isa whom he described as "my rock, my home, the best partner I could ever ask for."
Lastly, Mikoy thanked "Cinemalaya for the honor and for this one hell of a reassurance to stay and keep going."
In the comments, sincerest congratulations for Mikoy overflowed, one of which is from his Bubble Gang co-star Michael V who gave him a touching message.
"Never kami nagduda sa 'yo. Keep the faith. Always," Bitoy told Mikoy alongside clapping hands, trophy, and praying hands emojis.
Mikoy will soon star in the TV adaptation of Maging SIno Ka Man where he will play Libag, originally played by Dennis Padilla.
Libag is the sidekick of Carding, originally played by Robin Padilla.
Meanwhile, David Licauco will portray Carding in the reimagined version of Maging Sino Ka Man.
