'I felt him, I felt him the entire time,' says internationally-acclaimed actress Dolly De Leon on Khalil Ramos' performance as Jon in 'Tick, Tick...Boom!'
Internationally-acclaimed Filipina actress Dolly De Leon sang praises for Khalil Ramos after she saw his performance as Jon in the musical Tick, Tick... Boom! by Jonathan Larson.
On Instagram of 9 Works Theatrical, the producer of the musical, Dolly admitted that she felt Khalil's presence all throughout the show.
"Khalil just dove in and ate the character. I love that so much, he was so truthful, and he was so raw," she said in the video.
"I felt him, I felt him the entire time."
Aside from Khalil, Dolly also praised the entire cast of Tick, Tick... Boom!
"It felt so good to be back and watch a musical. I haven't seen a musical in a long time, in years. Clearly, there's so much talent in the cast, it felt so good and liberating. It was kind of cathartic to be back here and witness all of that," she continued.
"So it's a really great show. Congratulations, they're really great."
Set in the 1990s, Tick, Tick...Boom! tells the story of Jon, a struggling composer who desires to make a mark on Broadway.
The run of Tick, Tick...Boom! is extended every weekend until September 3, 2023, at the RCBC Plaza Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium in Makati. Tickets are available at Ticket2Me.
