Mel Tiangco, Vicky Morales reveal Mike Enriquez's secret in GMA Christmas station ID

The memory left behind by the beloved GMA Integrated News pillar Mike Enriquez continues to live on.

Although the award-winning broadcast journalist passed away at the age of 71 last August, GMA Network honored the highly-respected Kapuso news personality by including him in the much-talked-about and viral “Feeling Blessed Ngayong Pasko” Christmas station ID which was released on Sunday, November 5.

In one part of the six-minute-long station ID, 24 Oras anchor Mel Tiangco remembered her good friend by saying, “Naku, mga Kapuso. Alam n'yo ba na si Mike Enriquez, hindi lang yan magaling sa pagbabalita, napakamatulungin at napakamapagbigay din ng kaibigan kong 'yan. Pero secret niya lang 'yun.”

THE LEGACY OF MIKE ENRIQUEZ:

Vicky Morales seconded Mel, adding that the multi-awarded TV and radio anchor is one of the biggest donors to the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Abandoned in Sta. Ana, Manila.

She said, “Kaya ngayon na nasa heaven na siya, puwede na namin i-share sa lahat na isa siya sa mga pinakamalalaking donor sa National Shrine of Our Lady of the Abandoned sa Sta. Ana [Manila].

“Feeling Blessed talaga kami na makilala at makasama ang isang Mike Enriquez.”

Since it was uploaded on Sunday, the GMA-7 Christmas station ID has already garnered more than 1.4 million views on Facebook and generated more than 28,000 reactions as of writing.
