Netizens express excitement for 'Avatar: The Last Airbender' teaser release

The excitement is palpable in the air after video-streaming giant Netflix dropped the official teaser video of Avatar: The Last Airbender, the live-action adaptation of the well-loved animated fantasy action television series created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko.

Avatar: The Last Airbender follows the adventure of Aang, the last Air Nomad, who will traverse the world and seek to end the war brought upon by the Fire Nation as the next Avatar.

Netflix uploaded on several social media sites a two-minute teaser, which also unveiled that the series will premiere on February 22, 2024.

The Avatar teaser quickly became a trending topic online with fans sharing their thoughts about the live-action adaptation.

It was already announced in 2021 that Filipino-Canadian Gordon Cormier will be playing Aang. He is also joined by Kiawentiio, Ian Ousley, Dallas Liu, and Elizabeth Yu.

Meanwhile, fan-favorite Uncle Iroh will be portrayed by Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, while Daniel Dae Kim was cast to play Fire Lord Ozai.
