Bettinna Carlos is Chef Boy’s scholar

It's a known fact that Bettinna Carlos is a talented actress. After several stellar performances in movies and TV, she takes on a different challenge as she showcases her knack for baking.

 

Culinary student and entrepreneur Bettinna has begun being the sous chef of Chef Boy Logro in Idol sa Kusina last June 8.

“I’m very happy and blessed na binigyan nila ko ng chance to actually showcase what I know in the kitchen,” she said.

 

This is not the first time that Bettinna and Chef Boy have met as the two have a closer relationship than most people know.

 

“[Si] Chef Boy yung mentor ko. I go to his [culinary] school. I’m his student [and am] currently enrolled. Actually scholar ako ni Chef Boy,” she shared.

 

Although Bettinna has been baking for a while now, she wants to acquire additional technical skills so she can cook and bake masterfully. “Kaya ako ngayon nag-aaral kay Chef Boy kasi gusto ko talaga matuto,” she noted.

 

Bettina, who enjoys baking, has already made a business out of it, and will share more dessert recipes with her mentor and the audience.

 

“Si Chef Boy ang bahala sa ulam, sa dishes. Ako, more on desserts pero we’re trying na hindi oven-baked lahat. Yung mga dessert, magugustuhan [talaga] ng mga Pilipino” she added.

 

Bettinna feels fortunate to be able to learn under the helm of a talented and good-hearted man. More than anything, she appreciates how encouraging Chef Boy is.

 

“Sabi nga nila it’s either you bake or you cook [at] si Chef Boy [ang] nagsabi sa akin, 'Hindi totoo yan.' Kaya mo rin magluto. Papatunayan ko sa ‘yo,’” she disclosed.
