
National volleyball player and Sparkle actor John Vic De Guzman thanked Rotary Club of Aseana Manila on his social media post for his Person of The Year Award for Sports award that he received on December 15.
John Vic wrote, " Thank you, Rotary Club of Aseana Manila, for the Person of The Year Award for Sports. I'm honored to receive this recognition and share it with all active Pinoy volleyball players, contributing to the sport's growth locally and abroad. Your support fuels our passion for volleyball."
The awarded star also added his pictures with his certificate along with other Kapuso awardees, like Makiling star, Derrick Monasterio, GMA First Vice President for Program Management Jose Mari R. Abacan, Lovers & Liars actor Kimson Tan, and beauty queen-actress AZ Martinez
John Vic De Guzman has been always been known for his talent in sports besides his acting career as a Sparkle star. Recently, he won as Youth Advocate Award in Sports at the World Summit Excellence Awards and Silver Medalist in Men's Volleyball at the 219 SEA Games.
He also played for De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (CSB) in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), as he became part of the school's historic NCAA Season 92 championship win, wherein he was also hailed as the Most Valuable Player (MVP).
Besides sports, John Vic De Guzman is also an Airforce reservist, having completed the Special Basic Citizen's Military Training under the Philippine Air Force last 2022.
Currently, he is active as an actor in GMA's hit afternoon drama, Abot-Kamay Na Pangarap, which stars Jillian Ward, Carmina Villarroel, and Richard Yap.
