Ayen Munji-Laurel makes a comeback in 'My Destiny'

By MICHELLE CALIGAN

"It's a good comeback for me because kakapanganak ko pa lang. I gave birth four months ago to a baby girl. So I'm back, and another good show in primetime," saad niya.

"Of course, it's an honor because you are working with the best. Aside from Direk Joyce, ang mga artista, no question, they had successful shows in the past, and I have worked with Carla also noong nag-uumpisa pa lang siya, when she was doing Rosalinda."

How similar or different is Ruth to the real Ayen?

"Siguro similar siya kasi I'm also a mom, and I love my children. Ipaglalaban ko 'yung mga anak ko kahit ano ang mangyari and they are my priority.

As for the show, Ayen believes that what sets it apart from other teleseryes is its powerhouse cast. Story-wise, the conflict is there, but I guess 'yung love for each other will always win."

My Destiny begins on June 30, right after Niño on GMA Telebabad.
