Michael V. shared his thoughts about the much-talked about hosting stint of Filipino-American stand up comedian Jo Koy at the recently concluded 81st Golden Globe awards.
Jo Koy faced a lot of criticisms about his performanceand many considered his jokes fell flat.
In his guesting with Good Morning America after the awards night, Jo addressed the negative reactions about his performance at the Golden Globes.
“You know, I'd be lying if I said it doesn't hurt. I hit a little moment there where I was just like, hosting is just, it's a tough gig. And, yes, I am a stand-up comic. With the hosting position, it's a different style.” he said.
“We just had 10 days to try and write something for this monologue. It was a crash course. And, you know, I feel bad but I gotta still say that I loved what I did.”
In connection to this, Michael V., a three-time Asian TV awards winner, took to Facebook to express his thoughts about Jo Koy's performance and jokes.
The comedy actor-director wrote, “I think Jo Koy's Golden Globes jokes are funny, direct and pretty much self-explanatory.
He added, “The last thing Jo Koy should be doing is trying to explain it to people who purposely choose NOT to understand and appreciate them.”
Bitoy's post so far has over 23,000 reactions and was shared over 1,000 times on Facebook as of writing.
