Park Hyung-sik and Park Shin-hye are set to star in the new rom-com series Doctor Slump, which is slated to premiere on January 27.

In the series, Park Hyung-sik will play Yeo Jung-woo, a popular plastic surgeon whose life falls into a slump after a mysterious medical accident. At this lowest point of his life, he will reunite with his old rival, Nam Ha-neul, who will be played by Park Shin-hye.

In an online press conference, Park Hyung-sik shared what viewers can look forward to in his upcoming series.

"First of all, Doctor Slump actually carries a message [about] the people [who] are in a slump in this kind of busy, modern society right now. There are a lot of points [where] people can be comforted," the Hallyu star said.

"And the role Yeo Jung-woo that I took part in this project has a very positive personality. He handles and conquers [the] hardships he faces. [Also, you can expect] my co-actor Park Shin-hye, you can see how we develop from friends to lovers," he added.

Park Hyung-sik considered Doctor Slump as one of his most memorable projects. He shared, "I think this is the drama that I actually relate myself too much. And I laughed the most while filming it. So I guess you guys can expect much from it."

Meanwhile, Park Hyung-sik is coming back to the Philippines for his upcoming "SIKcret Time" fan meeting in Manila on February 17 at the Araneta Coliseum.
