It's a big congratulations to all Kapuso celebrities and Filipino films, as many were nominated in this year's Village Pipol Choice Awards (VPCA) for Entertainment Movie Category.

First off, GMA Pictures and Public Affairs' film, Firefly was nominated as Movie of the Year together with its talented director, Zig Dulay who also got nominated as Movie Director of the Year.

Firefly stars Miguel Tanfelix and Ysabel Ortega also entered the list of nominees for Supporting Movie Actor and Actress of the Year.

Other Kapuso celebrities who also starred in Filipino movies also bagged nominations in different categories.

Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards got nominated as Movie Actor of the Year for his previous film Five Breakups and a Romance. Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes also got nominated in the same category for his MMFF starred film Rewind.

For the category of Movie Actress of the Year, Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera (for Rewind) and Comedy Star for All Seasons Eugene Domingo (for Becky and Badette) also entered the nomination list for their excellent performance in their MMFF entries.

Last but not the least, Makiling star Teejay Marquez also got nominated as Supporting Movie Actor of the Year for his starring film, Broken Heart Trips.

The anticipated 5th Village Pipol Choice Awards will be held in May 2024. Winners of the awards will be based on online votes and scores from a panel of experts and editorial teams. The online voting period will be open from March 5 until April 5.

VP Choice Awards is an annual awarding event that gives recognition to the best and talented individuals and organizations in travel, lifestyle, technology and entertainment industries.
