Sofia Coppola brings Elvis Presley and wife Priscilla's story to the big screen

Priscilla, the much-anticipated biographical drama film, will be shown in Philippine cinemas nationwide.

This visually stunning film shows the iconic love story between music legend Elvis Presley and Priscilla Beaulieu Presley.

Written and directed by the award-winning Sofia Coppola, Priscilla is adapted from the memoir titled Elvis and Me. It offers an impressive big-screen experience that showcases the other perspective about the love life of the “King of Rock and Roll.”

The story unfolds when teenage Priscilla meets Elvis Presley at a party, the man who is already a meteoric rock-and-roll superstar becomes someone entirely unexpected in private moments: a thrilling crush, an ally in loneliness, a vulnerable best friend.

Through Priscilla's eyes, Coppola tells the unseen side of a great American myth in Elvis and Priscilla's long courtship and turbulent marriage--from a German army base to his dream-world estate at Graceland--in this deeply felt and ravishingly detailed portrait of love, fantasy, and fame.

The movie's lead actress, Cailee Spaeny, effectively portrayed the young Priscilla who fell deeply in love with Elvis, played by Jacob Elordi. She earned the Volpi Cup for Best Actress at the Venice Film Festival for her remarkable performance. She also received nominations at prestigious events such as the Gotham Independent Film Awards 2023, Satellite Awards 2024, and Golden Globe Awards 2024.

Joining Spaeny and Elordi in this film is Dagmara Dominczyk, who takes on the role of Ann Beaulieu, Priscilla's mother.

Priscilla is locally released by CreaZion Studios.

"We brought Priscilla to the Philippines because we know that Filipinos are big fans of Elvis and Priscilla,” said CreaZion Studios executive vice president Real Florido.

“And this is a great love story, a heartbreaking one that, I think, most of us have been craving to know about. Plus, of course, the movie is made beautifully and tastefully by no other than Sofia Coppola. So this is definitely a must-see.”

Priscilla will be screened in local cinemas nationwide starting January 31.
