Ryan Eigenmann loves to be a villain

Ryan Eigenmann said he’s not picky when it comes to roles. In fact, he enjoyed portraying several antagonist characters in his previous shows.

 

Ryan currently plays Alfred, ang ama ng half sisters na sina Barbie Forteza and Thea Tolentino. Siya ang nagpapapahirap sa role ni Barbie na si Diana.

 

Kuwento ni Ryan, sa sobrang sama ng character niya ay sinisiguro niyang hindi siya mapapanood ng anak onscreen. Aniya, “Medyo brutal 'tong si Alfred eh. The things I'm doing for this show, na-realize ko nga na hindi ko puwede ipapanood sa baby ko kasi medyo wild lang talaga siya.”

 

Since madalas na kontrabida si Ryan, sisiw na lang daw sa kanya ang role sa The Half Sisters. Saad niya, “No particular preparation. 'Di ba most of the time I get the role of the antagonist so it's just a matter of trying to become a bad guy in a different way. I just see how's the character is written and I go from there.”

 

Dagdag pa niya, “Sa role ni Alfred wala namang [challenges]. Wala naman akong problema diyan. Magkaka-challenge ako kapag ako 'yung magiging bida. Kapag ako 'yung mabait, doon ako medyo mahihirapan.”

 

Ayon kay Ryan, hindi niya hinahayaang madala niya ang pagiging bad guy in real life. “Pero now with Alfred, it's just like there's a switch na once he is needed, he's there. Kapag tapos na, tapos na. Try to leave everything Alfred in between action and cut. After that, back to me,” pahayag niya.

 

If given a choice, will Ryan still choose to be a villain? “Given a choice, it's much more fun to be the bad guy kasi yearly nagpapalit ng bida tapos ako pa rin 'yung laging kontrabida. (laughs),” he answered.

 

Pero kung bibigyan naman daw siya ng mabait na role, wala naman daw problema. “I don't prefer any role in particular, it's just playing the hand that is dealt to you. I mean, if I'm given a chance to play a good guy, I'll do it,” saad niya.
