
Taylor Swift surprised her fans on Monday, February 5, with the news of the upcoming release of her 11th studio album on April 19.
The award-winning singer-songwriter shared the exciting news of her new album, The Tortured Poets Department, in her acceptance speech at the 2024 Grammys.
“I wanna say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I've been keeping from you for the last two years, which is that my brand new album comes out April 19th. It's called The Tortured Poets Department,” Taylor said in her speech.
Taylor posted on Instagram the cover of the album soon after, along with a handwritten note in another photo.
“All's fair in love and poetry… Sincerely, The Chairman of The Tortured Poets Department,” a part of the note read.
Taylor won “Album of the Year” for Midnights at the 2024 Grammys, making it her fourth win in the category. She made history as her latest award makes her the artist with the most “Album Of The Year” wins.
Taylor released 1989 (Taylor's Version) in October 2023.
