Sexy ballroom dance moves on 'Marian'

It was an unforgettable night last Saturday in Marian as scorching hot guests, Aljur Abrenica and Alden Richards turned up the heat on the dance floor. Also joining them were newlywed couple Jopay and Joshua Zamora and dance groups, Philippine All Stars and Rockstars.

 

The show opened with a sexy, Chicago-esque number from the Kapuso Primetime Queen. Sporting a bob wig and a flapper-inspired red dress, Marian Rivera brought foxy to a whole new level on the dance floor.

 

Making the temperature rise even more were the production numbers of Aljur Abrenica and Alden Richards, who grooved to the top hits of sexy female artists.

 

Aljur did a throwback dance move of the 1930s Jive to the music of Katy Perry’s “Last Friday Night” in his vintage tailored tuxedo. Alden danced the 1920s Quickstep to Beyonce’s “Crazy in Love.” Then the two heartthrobs shared the stage and danced the 1950s Cha Cha to Jennifer Lopez’s hit, “Papi.”

 

This was followed by an exciting showdown between the Philippine All Stars and Rockstars. Each group showcased their distinctly awesome dance moves before sharing the stage.

 

After the high-energy performance, Marian and her co-star, Paolo Ballesteros put Aljur and Alden in the hot seat for a round of naughty questions. Each had his own fun revelations and everyone had a blast with the candid interview.

 

Then it was time for Kapuso Pop Superstar, Julie Anne San Jose to take the stage. She performed Jennifer Lopez’s song, “Dance Again” while Jopay and Joshua Zamora danced. They showed how ballroom dancing can be given a modern spin.

 

All the guests then gathered around as Marian taught the dance step of the week, called “Criss-Cross.” It was done by criss-crossing the arms twice then punching in the air thrice. It was enjoyable and easy to learn.
