Third Rail: The hijack | Weekly recap
It was already a week filled with suspense and action during the premiere of Singaporean series, Third Rail.
The show kicked off by introducing some of the civilians in the train, showing a sneak peak of their daily lives until they boarded the vehicle. Viewers got to meet some of the characters including Geri, a heroic nurse who's ready to treat passengers even if her life was at stake.

Everyone thought it's just an ordinary day for them, until the train suddenly stopped working in the middle of a tunnel. With mysterious guys introducing themselves as securities, the people followed their instructions in moving to the first carriage.
Reality soon hit them that they're in a hijacking crisis as they saw men wearing masks loaded with guns. Fearing about their dearest lives, the hostages didn't have a choice but to comply with the orders of the hijackers, like surrendering their phones and bags.
As the headquarters were notified about the sudden situation, they quickly contacted the crisis situation unit, led by commander chief Joseph. Trying to rescue the civilians, the squad started breaching the tunnel toward the hijacked train. But unfortunately, they were caught off guard with a sudden explosion of the vehicle's last carriage.
The squad had no choice but to retreat for now, preventing possible damages. But not giving up, the unit tried sending drones to assess the situation inside. Yet, the terrorists were well prepared as they used an anti-drone jammer.
After some time filled with worries inside the headquarters, Joseph's team received a call from the criminals. During their talk, the leader of the hijackers displayed a mysterious yet clever side of him. Joseph and the whole team became cautious at the terrorist act and noted to themselves how big a deal they were handling.

As the negotiation went on, both parties came up with an agreement of letting some of the hostages go if they let negotiator Cristy take the lead of communicating to them.
Although they got confused on why they wanted a girl named Cristy, the authorities complied with their request and picked her up.
Who is Cristy and why do they want her as their negotiator?
Will they finally save the hostages?
