Get ready for a surge of emotions, as folk-pop band Ben&Ben prepares to release their first single this year, titled "COMETS."

Returning on Friday, May 10, the band will unveil another heartfelt piece exploring the fleeting nature of a love lost.

Liwanag fans should stay tuned for this song as it is written by the twins Paolo and Miguel Benjamin. Elevating the track, it's also co-produced by talented Indonesian producer Petra Sihombing.

Petra, known for his work as a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, has collaborated with international musicians from Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines.

Ben&Ben acknowledges Petra's contribution, stating, "He flew in to help us bring the song to the next level, with his own additions in both the arrangement and post-production of the track."

The band reveals that although they've performed "COMETS" a few times since 2021, its upcoming release marks its official debut as a single.

"COMETS is a song that we've had and performed a few times since 2021 but haven't officially released yet, it's been shrouded in quite a bit of mystery and intrigue."

In addition to the single, teasers for their comeback take a creative approach. Symbolizing the unveiling of their music, their trailers represent curtains slowly rising until its release date.

This also explains the symbolism behind their cover art, resembling a burst of light captured in a photograph.

The band explains, "It encapsulates the essence of the song with how it likens people in our lives to these bright, beautiful yet fleeting flashes of light."

Their highly anticipated song "COMETS" will soon be available on all digital music platforms worldwide, by Sony Music Entertainment.

This release will follow their previous single "Nais," a collaboration with renowned Filipino singer and producer Jonathan Manalo.

Ben&Ben is an award-winning nine-piece Folk-Pop band who's known for their heartfelt lyrics, unique musicality, and electric stage presence. They dedicate their songs to their listeners, spreading hope, love, and positivity.

Some of their hit songs include "Sa Susunod na Habang Buhay," "Kathang Isip," "Pagtingin," and "Araw-Araw."

Their popularity extends not only locally but internationally as well. Ben&Ben performs in other countries and collaborates with international stars like Day6's Young K for the rendition of "Leaves."
