"Natakot ako kasi hindi ko alam kung should we just leave it as it is?" Kathryn admits during the launch of 'Hello, Love, Again.'

Kapamilya actress Kathryn Bernardo admitted that she got scared when ABS-CBN Chief Operating Officer for Broadcast Cory Vidanes talked to her about doing a sequel to her 2019 movie with Alden Richards, Hello, Love, Goodbye.

At the official launch of Hello, Love, Again, the sequel to their movie, Kathryn revealed that she had second thoughts whether to continue the story of Ethan and Joy, their characters in the movie.

“'Yung fear ko, when Tita Cory told me about this film, siyempre natakot ako kasi hindi ko alam kung should we just leave it as it is? Or, maybe gumawa na lang kami ng bagong kuwento ni Alden? Or better na ituloy siya?” Kathryn recalled.

“But then, noong pinag-isipan ko siya, if I put myself aside, not being part of the cast, parang, me din, ang dami kong questions.

“Ang dami kong gustong malaman, 'Kumusta si Joy?' 'Si Ethan okay? Nag-survive ba 'yung LDR nila? Kumusta 'yung buhay niya sa Canada? Nagawa niya ba 'yung dreams niya?'

“So for me, I think, Hello, Love, Again will provide all the answers to my questions and to all our questions hopefully. This time, sa ibang setting, which is in Canada.

“As Direk Cathy said, sa kuwento pa lang nila, ang daming maganda at the same time, very sad stories na we want to tell.

“I think, this is a good continuation but sa ibang aspeto naman. Let's see, it's exciting.”

Hello, Love, Again tells the story of Ethan and Joy as they reunite in Canada, five years after the event of the first film.

In Hello, Love, Goodbye, Ethan and Joy met in Hong Kong as struggling OFWs. Unfortunately, their romance didn't blossom as Joy chose to pursue her dream in Canada as a nurse.

Hello, Love, Again marks the first film collaboration between Star Cinema and GMA Pictures. It will be shown exclusively in cinemas on November 13, 2024.
