Candidates for this year's Miss World Philippines pageant will succeed current reigning Miss World Philippines Gwendolyne Fourniol, who finished outside of the Top 40 in the Miss World pageant. After her participation, Gwendolyne shared her gratitude for the support sent her way after her Miss World performance.
“My eyes are swelling with tears trying to hold it all in so the world can see a brave woman who gave her all,” she wrote. “But like any human being, I think it is normal to admit that it is okay to be vulnerable, it is okay to be hurt, it is okay to be in shock and question myself and my capabilities.”
Gwendolyne's successor will strive to pull off a better performance in the upcoming Miss World pageant. During her run, Gwendolyne placed in the Top 20 of the Top Model Challenge and placed in the Top 25 of the Miss World Head to Head Challenge.
