Rose of BLACKPINK

All BLACKPINK members are officially out of YG Entertainment now.

BLACKPINK's Rosé is venturing another path in her solo career as she finally signs with THEBLACKLABEL founded by K-pop producer, Teddy Park, reports confirm today, June 18.

South Korean news website Soompi quoted the press release from THEBLACKLABEL that read: “We have signed a management contract with artist Rosé. Based on deep trust between producer Teddy and artist Rosé, who worked together for a long time as producer and artist, [Rosé] recently signed a management contract with THEBLACKLABEL.”

“Rosé is currently preparing to meet global fans with new music, and she plans to engage in music activities worldwide in collaboration with a global record label going forward,” they added.

Since this is a new path for the K-pop idol, THEBLACKLABEL also asked fans to show support and love for Rosé and her plans for “new music activities.”

They wrote, “Please look forward to the best synergy created from the meeting of Rosé, who boasts unique musical color, and THEBLACKLABEL, which pursues freedom in the artists' activities.”

THEBLACKLABEL also assured fans that they “promise to provide full support to ensure that Rosé can be active in various fields.

Rosé has yet to comment on this news, but fans are excited about her new contract with THEBLACKLABEL, especially since her co-members have signed contracts with their own labels: Jisoo with BLISSOO, Jennie with ODD ATALIER, and Lisa with LLOUD.

Meanwhile, THEBLACKLABEL is a record label founded by Teddy Park, one of BLACKPINK's in-house producers, and is an associate company of YG Entertainment. It manages some of the biggest K-pop soloists today like Somi, Taeyang, and Zion. T, as well as K-drama actors like Park Bo-gum.

Last year, YG Entertainment confirmed that BLACKPINK has renewed its contract with the company for group activities only.
