Miss Pagadian Lisa Marie Gomez Suan will represent the city at the 2025 Miss Universe Philippines pageant.

It will still be quite some time before the next Miss Universe Philippines competition, but cities and provinces are already gearing up for the next competition. Pagadian City, down in Zamboanga, is taking the lead with the announcement of its delegate.

In one of the more recent posts on the Miss Universe Philippines Instagram account, the organization announced that the Miss Universe Philippines Pagadian organization has crowned its representative for next year's competition.

The newly-crowned Miss Pagadian is Lisa Marie Gomez Suan, crowned on June 20 at the City Gymnasium of Pagadian City. Part of the selection committee that picked her among the other candidates was Miss Universe Philippines 2024 first runner-up Stacey Gabriel, Miss Universe Philippines vice president for national and global search Mags Cue, and Miss Universe Philippines organization executive vice president Voltaire Tayag.

Miss Pagadian Lisa Marie Gomez Suan, along with other delegates announced along the way, will be succeeding current reigning Miss Universe Philippines Chelsea Manalo.

Since winning the crown, Chelsea has been kept busy by multiple engagements, one of the first being a guesting at Kapuso morning show Unang Hirit as well as facing a small group of press people for an intimate interview.

Chelsea also attended a Pride event earlier in the month, with the Miss Universe Philippines official Instagram account sharing multiple photos of Chelsea at a Pride Month event organized by LoveYourselfPH, a volunteer community providing free HIV testing, counseling, treatment, and life coaching. In the caption to the post, the organization shared that Chelsea stressed the “importance of being an ally to the community and pride in being your authentic self.”

Chelsea was also a Santacruzan queen at a Flores de Mayo parade in Sampaloc and also received a warm homecoming from her home province of Bulacan.
