Karylle on baby plans and the joys of married life

Multi-talented singer, actress and theater performer Karylle was married to Spongecola frontman Yael Yuzon last March 21 and until now, their newlywed bliss is still very much alive. How do they keep the flame burning? Karylle shared the answer to this and more on The Tim Yap Show.
How would Karylle describe her married life?
She said, “It’s fun. Sabi ko nga kanina, parang ang problema lang na nakikita ko is jetlag ‘yung situation kasi kunwari, mag mall show ako, maaga ako natatapos. Si Yael, since he’s in a band, they’re always the last to perform. It’s easy to understand your partner when you have similar work. “
Where did she and Yael have their honeymoon?
“We went to London, nag-Switzerland kami, sa Monaco, Ventimiglia in Italy, of course sa Paris kasi doon ‘yung apartment ni Tita Vicky [Belo].”
Do they have baby plans already?
“Parang hindi namin iniisip, although Yael has a name- Lucas. Sana isipin na niya ‘yung name kung girl man. I guess we’re just taking it one day at a time. If the baby comes, ready na rin naman,” she answered.
Karylle added that when the time comes, she plans to deliver via water birth.
“Medyo intense siya kasi walang anesthesia or anything. Kung kaya ng mga lola natin, kaya ko rin, sana,” she said.
What are the challenges that she has encountered in her married life so far?
“I think ‘yung time, kasi after honeymoon, you’re so used to being together all the time na parang ‘pag nawala ‘yun…oh no! Also, the fact that you have to share your schedule na. ” answered Karylle.
She added, “’Pag girlfriend ka, bawal maging needy masyado, kasi baka maging psycho ka. Ngayon, kailangan ready na ‘yung kamote and red rice niya para sa diet niya. Siya naman, ginagawan niya ako ng juice.”
How does she keep the spark alive with her husband?
“I wish I were more malambing kasi in the beginning, we weren’t so showy outside. We were trying to kind of keep our privacy. Ngayon lang namin nae-enjoy ‘yung naghoholding hands ‘pag lumalabas. May kilig moments na new,” she shared.
She added, “Nagbe-baby talk kami. Siguro para kasi you feel unguarded. Talagang at home na at home na.”
On August 21, Karylle and Yael will be celebrating their 5th month as a married couple. Karylle admits that up to now, she is still overwhelmed with the thought that they are already married. Yael is with her in every step of their journey to forever, which is why right now, Karylle couldn’t be any happier.
