Several movies and documentaries produced by GMA Pictures and GMA Public Affairs will be shown at the 20th Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival at select Ayala Malls cinemas.

The digitally restored and remastered version of the 1998 film Jose Rizal, starring Cesar Montano, will be showcased at the iconic Manila Metropolitan Theatre on August 7, Wednesday, at 4:00 p.m.

Lost Sabungeros, GMA Pictures and GMA Public Affairs' documentary film about the disappearances of sabungeros in 2022, will have its premiere on August 8, Thursday, at 5:00 p.m., at Ayala Malls Manila Bay Cinema 2, to be followed by a talkback session. Lost Sabungeros will also have a special screening on August 9, Friday, at 5:30 p.m., at Ayala Malls Manila Bay Cinema 8.

The 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival and Manila International Film Festival Best Picture Firefly will have a screening on August 9, Friday, at 2:30 p.m. at Ayala Malls Manila Bay Cinema 9.

Mav Gonzales's Sisid sa Putik and Howie Severino's Boat to School will air back-to-back on August 7, Wednesday, at 11:00 a.m. at Ayala Malls Manila Bay Cinema 2.

On August 8, Thursday, Atom Araullo's Bawat Barya and Kara David's Ambulansyang de Paa will be shown back-to-back at Ayala Malls Manila Bay Cinema 2 at 11:00 a.m.

Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera-starrer film Balota, which is competing in the full-length category at this year's Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival, will be shown from August 2 to 11 at Ayala Malls Manila Bay, UP Town Center, Greenbelt, Market Market, and Trinoma.
