Miss World organization likely to extend Megan Young’s contract

'StarStruck' alumna Megan Young made history both for herself and the Philippines as she was crowned as the 63rd Miss World and the first Filipina to ever bag the crown.

Megan impressed the Miss World Organization with the work she has done the past year, according to Miss World Philippines’ exclusive licensee and national director Cory Quirino.

“Natutuwa [sila] sa kanya [ng] sobra. Even if she crowns the new queen in December in London, malamang baka ma-e-extend ang contract ni Megan sa Miss World organization. They want to keep her to do some official work for Miss World,” Quirino said.

Last June, Megan hosted the Mister World 2014 pageant alongside Mister World-Canada 2013 Frankie Cena.

“Sobrang ganda ng kanyang pag-host ng Mister World sa London,” Quirino added.

She also mentioned how happy she is because Megan is making the most of the experience as the titleholder.

“She has really grown in professionalism and we’re very proud of her so I know that she’ll be a bigger star as soon as she relinquishes that crown ‘cause she has many offers. I’m not free to say which ones but she has many offers to expand her career to broaden her experience in the field,” she noted.

The Miss World 2014 pageant will be held in December 14. The search for the Philippine representative is ongoing. Interested and qualified applicants may apply via http://gmanetwork.com/missworld2014 until September 1.
