Mark Herras takes on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

By SAMANTHA PORTILLO

Kapuso actor, Mark Herras has officially joined the bandwagon. Just like Hollywood stars, Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and LeBron James, the Bad Boy of the Dance Floor took on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. How did he do?

The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge involves dumping a bucket of ice water on one’s head or donating to the ALS Association. It recently went viral throughout social media when Hollywood celebrities started to participate in the challenge.

The challenge dares nominated participants to be filmed having a bucket of ice water poured on their heads. A common stipulation is that nominated people have 24 hours to comply or forfeit by way of a charitable financial donation to help those with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis).

Last August 20, Mark Herras posted a video of himself in Instagram, doing the Ice Bucket Challenge. He challenged Jennylyn Mercado, Yasmien Kurdi, Rainer Castillo, LJ Reyes, Ryza Cenon, Vice Ganda, John Prats, Dominic Roco, Felix Roco, Sef Cadayona and Andrei Felix to do the same.

He added in the post: “Failure to complete the challenge will be subjected to a charitable donation to our personal Tiki bank account or just do both?:) The proceeds will be donated to help people with ALS in the Philippines. We will be posting our group bank account soon on IG for all those who are willing to help or you can go directly to http://www.alsa.org and donate:)”
