Join the exciting and inspirational journey of six high school students and their teacher in GMA Public Affairs' new youth-oriented show, MAKA.

GMA is bringing Saturday afternoons back to the youth with MAKA, an exciting and inspirational teen drama by GMA Public Affairs.

The Kapuso Network has been home to remarkable youth-oriented shows, including the classic and iconic T.G.I.S. and Click.

This September, Sparkle stars Zephanie, Marco Masa, Ashley Sarmiento, Dylan Menor, John Clifford, and Olive May will take center stage in the upcoming teen drama series, MAKA. The title is derived from Douglas MacArthur High School for the Arts, the fictional school where the students' lives unfold.

Joining the Sparkle stars in this family-friendly program is seasoned actor Romnick Sarmenta, who will portray an accomplished yet infamous artist returning to his despised hometown to become an Arts and Performance teacher.

As a teacher, he will discover that he and his students have much to learn from each other, resulting in a life-changing journey for everyone.

This new teen drama with musical elements aims to bridge generational gaps by addressing relatable issues faced by Gen Z and their interactions with other generations, including millennials, Gen X, and boomers.
