Heart Evangelista and Sen. Chiz Escudero are also engaged!

Kapuso actress and Startalk host Heart Evangelista and Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero are engaged.
Sen. Escudero proposed on Saturday night during a trip to his province, Sorsogon, and Heart tearfully said “Yes.”
News of the engagement spread like wildfire over social media Saturday night, with some comparing the engagement to that of Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes last August 9.
There were also posts about how big the rock was on Heart’s engagement ring.
Last June, there were speculations that Sen. Escudero might propose in Paris after the couple went on a 10-day trip to France.
Upon her return last July, Heart said a proposal would just be a “formality” because she has set her mind and heart on the senator.
She also said a possible wedding would not in any way be related to the 2016 national elections.
Heart has also said Sen. Escudero serves as an inspiration not only in her life but her art. She said Sen. Chiz gave her renewed inspiration to paint.
The couple looked handsome during the State of the Nation Address with the senator wearing a classic barong and Heart complementing it with an immaculate modern Filipiniana by Joey Samson.
Heart’s co-hosts at Startalk later teased that it looked like a wedding dress.
