ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is not just for show – Mark Herras and Enzo Pineda

Doing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge may just appear joining the bandwagon to some, but two Kapuso hunks emphasized dumping a bucketful of ice water on their heads was for a greater cause.
Mark Herras and Enzo Pineda were among the first local celebrities who did the challenge.
Mark explained in an interview with Unang Hirit, “Kami naman hindi kami gumagawa ng ganitong klaseng ingay or publicity para lang, alam mo ‘yun, mapag-usapan ng mga tao or mapag-usapan ng kung sino man. May reason naman kung bakit namin ginagawa ‘tong challenge na ‘to. And sa barkada namin, sa grupo namin, yes magdo-donate po kami.”
“’Yung fun na ‘yun, parang bonus na lang ‘di ba? Ito rin [ay] para makatulong tayo sa maliit na paraan na alam natin,” he said.
For his part, Enzo had a more personal reason to join this awareness campaign.
“[I know] a few people na may relative sila na may ALS so that’s why I did it also,” he said.
“‘Yung donation is through, ipapadala mo sa internet, sa US mismo. Pero I’m looking for a foundation that supports the cause here in the Philippines. Para at least I can support them directly ,“ he added.
