Balesin denies bumping off another wedding in favor of Heart and Chiz

Heart Evangelista denied that she and fiancé, Senator Chiz Escudero, were the ones responsible for bumping off the wedding of another celebrity in Balesin Island, Quezon.
Allegedly, a celebrity was scheduled to get married in Balesin on February 14, 2015, but because Heart and Sen. Chiz chose the same wedding date, the wedding had to be moved.
Sen. Chiz explained, “Hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit nagkakaroon ng isyu. Kung may isyu man sila sa Balesin, isyu nila iyon.”
Heart said, “Dapat [February] 15, pero we had to reserve other dates like [February] 14 to 17, naka-block iyan to work around it. Very soft pa iyong plan namin diyan kasi depende din sa wedding singer, kung sinong makakarating, but now, naglalaro sa 14 or 15.”
The owner of Balesin Island, Roberto Ongpin, already spoke up about the issue. Here is his statement:
“I wish everyone to know that it was I who actually invited Heart and Chiz to have their wedding at Balesin when I had dinner with them shortly after they returned from their trip to Paris sometime in July and even before they announced their formal engagement.
After receiving the confirmation from Chiz and Heart, I immediately checked with our reservations people who told me that nobody actually confirmed February 14 as of that time, so I told them to block it off. So, nobody has been “bumped off”.
Heart added, “Why would you want somebody to be miserable on the day that you’re supposed to be happy, ‘di ba? So, sana maayos, but then I guess the best thing is for them to talk to Balesin kasi lahat naman kami kliyente. We all wanna get married.”
As of yesterday afternoon, the couple have decided to have their wedding in Balesin Island on February 15, 2015, but they will already be there by February 14 to celebrate Heart’s birthday.
