From the first time we saw him in StarStruck ten years ago, a lot has remained the same.

For one, he is still the heartthrob that he was before. He still has that ability to make the girls want him and make the guys want to be him every time he grooves on the dance floor. Plus, it goes without saying that he hasn’t lost his charm even a decade after.

However, there is one important change that has transpired in his life.

From being a happy-go-lucky guy, Mark grew up into a more driven and more mature man. He attributes this growth to the birth of his daughter Ada. Not only is he smarter, but he’s also a lot happier.

“Siya 'yung pinakamagandang blessing na binigay sa ‘kin ni God. Iba 'yung feeling na kasama at nakikita ko 'yung anak ko,” he told GMANetwork.com after his guesting in Basta Every Day Happy.

Ada, together with Mark’s family, makes up majority of his happiness. He loves this constant in his life.

“Sa oras na masaya ka, sa oras na may problem ka, sa oras na meron kang kailanganin, 'yung family talaga 'yung takbuhan mo, 'yung family 'yung nilalapitan mo kahit anong mangyari,” he said.

Because of his love for his family and the desire to give them a comfortable life, Mark has committed himself in working hard and becoming the best dancer and actor that he could be. This, conversely, motivates him to love his job more so that he can excel in it.

“Itong career ko in showbiz, ito 'yung bumubuhay sa ‘kin, sa family ko at sa anak ko. Sobrang nag-e-enjoy ako sa ginagawa ko and sobrang dami ko pang gustong gawin [dito],” he concluded.
