Andrea Brillantes on accusations: 'I was the first one to line up sa queue number lane namin'

Fans are still buzzing about Olivia Rodrigo's highly anticipated “GUTS World Tour” concert in Manila, which took place last Saturday (October 5) at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan.

The event created countless cherished memories and headlines, but it also left some tension within the Philippine fandom regarding access to the concert.

On social media, netizens voiced their opinions about Andrea Brillantes' presence at the concert. Photos and sightings revealed that the actress enjoyed the show from the VIP section, near the center of the stage. Given that the concert operated on a first-come, first-served basis with equal pricing for all sections, speculation arose that Andrea may have "used connections" to secure her prime spot.

As the accusations intensified, Andrea took to social media once again to address the issue. In her Instagram story, she clarified that she was the first in line, which was why she had a better spot. Alongside her picture, she wrote, "I was the first one to line up sa queue number lane namin omg."

She later added another Instagram story with her collected confetti, further explaining her earlier message. "Oopsiee I just realized I worded that poorly, and it came off as me bragging about my spot. But y'all got it wrong. What I meant to say was, sa aga ko pumila kaninang umaga, I ended up first in line in my queue number lane. Kaya ako lang tao nandoon because I lined up very early for it. It wasn't VIP treatment or anything magical."

Besides addressing the controversy, Andrea took time to share her concert experience through photos and videos. She captioned, "I really wanted a cool caption for this, but it's been 40mins and this is all I've got. Olivia, you are amazing……wow." One of her snaps also featured digital creator Bea Borres.

The issue initially arose when fans noticed Andrea allegedly receiving physical tickets before the official sale on September 28. In response to the claims, she stated, "Honestly po, I have no idea about the post you're referring to. I NEVER posted anything like that and it would've been IMPOSSIBLE because I didn't even have a physical ticket before the 28th." Andrea emphasized that, regardless of her celebrity status, she is just a fan of Olivia like everyone else.
