Star-studded performances rule the ‘Marian’ dance floor

By SAMANTHA PORTILLO

It was a party unlike any other last Saturday in Marian. Hitting the high notes and grooving to modern beats have never been more awesome.

Marian started the party with an ‘80s-inspired dance number. Wearing a citrus-printed blouse and red metallic shorts, the Primetime Queen danced to VST & Co.’s hit, "Rock, Baby, Rock."

Then, Kris Lawrence and K-La Rivera gave their own rendition of Bruno Mars’ "Treasure.'' They performed in black leather outfits and totally wowed the crowd with their insatiable talent.

For the Playlist segment, StarStruck alumni fired up the dance floor and grooved to Pitbull’s biggest hits.

First up were StarStruck Batch 1 First Prince and Princess, Rainier Zamora and Yasmien Kurdi. They were as energetic as ever in dancing to the song, ''I Know You Want Me.''

Up next were Enzo Pineda, Rich Asuncion and Steven Silva, who sported cute, preppy outfits. They danced to the song, ''Hotel Room Service.''

Then, all the StarStruck alumni gathered together in one production number and beat the rhythm to ''Don’t Stop the Party.''

For the highlight of the show, Marian gave an update regarding her wedding. She revealed the first batch of principal sponsors. The list includes: Celia Rodriguez, German Moreno, Wilma Galvante, Ma. Jocelyn Rustia, Mr. Joel Anthony Rustia, Mr. Randy Ortiz, Direk Mark Reyes, Ms. Luisa G. Henson, Ma. Margarita E. Gonzalez, Mac Alejandre, Bb. Joyce Bernal, Ogie Alcasid, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Lolit Solis, Perry Lansigan, Tony Tuviera, GMA Chairman and CEO, Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, GMA President and COO Gilberto R. Duavit, Jr. and GMA SVP for Entertainment, Lilybeth G. Rasonable.

Finally, Marian taught the dance step of the week. She called it “’80s Throwack.” All the guests followed Marian and learned the new dance step quickly.

Next week will surely be another fun and exciting dance party, so don’t miss Marian!
