Aicelle Santos, Isang Himala


Kapuso actress and singer Aicelle Santos headlines musical film 'Isang Himala,' one of the 10 Metro Manila Film Festival 2024 entries.

Kapuso singer and actress Aicelle Santos took the spotlight as the upcoming musical film Isang Himala released its first trailer. The film will be one of the 10 official entries in the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival this year.

The film is based on the theatrical play "Himala: Isang Musikal" where Aicelle also portrayed the role of Elsa. The original movie titled Himala which starred Nora Aunor was first seen in 1982.

CreaZion Studios, the film's production company, shared the trailer on its Facebook page.


On Instagram, Aicelle shared the trailer and a video of her rehearsing for the film, captioning the video, “It's been a while.”

“Taking on Elsa again after 5 years. A lot has happened and a lot has changed. But one thing remains - I'll still and will always be grateful to be able to go back to my first love, singing, and musical theater. And this time, in the movies."

BALIKAN ANG PAGKINANG NI AICELLE SA 'HIMALA: ISANG MUSIKAL' SA GALLERY NA ITO:

Pepe Diokno directs the film with the script he co-wrote with the original movie's screenwriter Ricky Lee. Aicelle stars with singer and actress Bituin Escalante, David Ezra, and Vic Robinson, among others.

Aside from Isang Himala, GMA Pictures and GMA Public Affairs' suspense drama Green Bones starring Dennis Trillo, Ruru Madrid, and Sofia Pablo is also an entry for MMFF 2024.

Other official entries include comedy-family film And the Breadwinner Is…, action-fantasy adventure The Kingdom, horror film Strange Frequencies, horror film Espantho, romance film Hold Me Close, romantic-comedy movie My Future You, action and thriller film Topakk, and the thriller film Uninvited.
