Kirk Bondad hopes to continue the Philippines' strong placements in male beauty pageants.

Yet another beauty pageant contestant is representing the country in an international pageant - and the coronation night is just around the corner.

The country's current reigning Mister World, Kirk Bondad, flew to Vietnam earlier this morning to compete in the 2024 Mister World pageant to be held in the province of Bình Thuận. The Miss World Philippines Instagram account shared photos from the send-off and a caption that wished Kirk the best of luck during the competition.

The Mister World coronation night is set to happen on November 23, 2024, at NovaWorld Phan Thiết in Vietnam. The contestants hope to succeed England's Jack Heslewood, who is the current reigning Mister World.

Kirk hopes to continue the streak of strong placements that the Philippines has been experiencing in male beauty pageants. Last month, the country's representative to the 2024 Mister Global pageant, Dom Corilla, won the crown. He bested 31 other candidates and became the first-ever titleholder from the Philippines.

Dom impressed the judges and audience with his Top 11 speech on bayanihan.

“The Philippine culture that I want to exercise globally is bayanihan, which means one with your country, one with your community, and in simple terms, love your neighbor. Because if you start loving your neighbor, imagine the world peace that we can achieve, the conflicts and wars that we can prevent. If we apply this culturally all around the world, we can really make a difference,” he said.

Back in July, Mister Supranational Philippines Brandon Espiritu became the most successful delegate the country has sent to the Mister Supranational pageant after ending the pageant as second runner-up.

Supranational Philippines posted a congratulatory poster on its official Instagram account announcing Brandon Espiritu's second runner-up placement. The account notes in the caption that this is the country's highest placement in the competition.

Brandon's predecessor, Johannes Rissler, placed in the Top 20 when he competed in the pageant last year.

Both Brandon and Dom won the opportunity to represent the country at the Mister Supranational pageant and the Mister Global pageant respectively by taking part in the Mister Pilipinas Worldwide pageant held last year. Brandon won the pageant while Dom placed in the top six.
