Marian Rivera meets her wedding gown designer

Dubai-based Filipino designer Michael Cinco is Primetime Queen Marian Rivera's wedding gown designer.

In an Instagram post, Marian said: "Face to face with 'the' Michael Cinco! What a great start to our bride-designer relationship. Both tisays, and proud Pinoys!"

In another post, Marian said, "This moment...haaay" as she looked at a gown design.

The Samar-born Cinco has worked with international models Tyra Banks and Naomi Campbell. His eco-couture collection was featured in Cycle 16 of America's Next Top Model.

His creations have been worn by celebrities like Sofia Vergara, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Chris Brown, Fergie, and Paris Hilton.

Teena Barretto, Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes' wedding coordinator, was also quoted by @thedongyanatics as saying in her Instagram post: "Yes, THE Michael Cinco will be doing Yan's wedding gown."

Before meeting with Michael Cinco, Marian posted: "I am so excited for today because finally, I will get to meet the designer who will make my wedding gown."

The meeting took place at the Makati Shangri-La.

In an interview with Startalk, Marian said she wanted her gown to be beautiful and special.

"Itong araw na ito (meeting with Cinco), talagang sabi ko, ito 'yung pinakahihintay ko kasi finally mami-meet ko na siya at mapag-uusapan na namin kung ano 'yung gusto ko talagang ng isuot sa kasal ko. Ito talaga 'yung isa sa mga espesyal at dapat talagang pinaghahandaan. Isang beses lang itong mangyayari sa buhay ng isang babae. So kailangan gusto ko, maganda, perfect," she said.

"Matagal ko na siyang (Cinco) sinusundan sa Instagram, so nakikita ko 'yung mga gawa niya, so doon pa lang talagang sabi ko, dream ko talaga na igawa niya ako...Isa siya sa paborito kong designers talaga - sobrang unique, sobrang fresh, sobrang class," she added.

In a report by 24 Oras Weekend, Marian said she wants to be  "presentable to God," so her gown would show less skin.

Cinco assured that he will make Marian a beautiful bride on her wedding day on Dec. 30.

"I want to make her look beautiful and fabulous in that wedding," said Cinco.

This week was busy for bride-to-be Marian because she tried 10 gowns by different designers for a wedding-themed shoot.
