Gabby Concepcion on working with Sharon: “We got closer again, understood each other better... made us both a better person.”
Loyal fans of ex-couple Gabby Concepcion and Megastar Sharon Cuneta got “kilig” with the heartfelt Instagram post of the former matinee idol for his former wife.
For the past few weeks, Gabby and Sharon have been traveling across key cities in the United States and Canada for their much-awaited “Dear Heart” tour.
The former My Guardian Alien actor posted a video on Instagram last November 25 featuring a tender moment with Sharon and wrote in the captions, “Nagpapasalamat ako sa mga fans namin, sa mga tao na hindi bumibitaw at naging possible yung concert tour na ito.
... that we got closer again, understood each other better... made us both a better person.
... then she broke down in tears
... that I comforted her with care. Konting humor na I did not have my hanky (panyo).
.... I felt something building up from within but she manifested it first...
... I realized at that very moment, these were... 'tears of joy'.”
Gabby and Sharon married twice in 1984, but their marriage was annulled in 1993. They have a daughter named KC Concepcion.
Back in October, Gabby told press members why they decided to mount the “Dear Heart” tour.
“Yung generation kasi namin, they are at that age na maraming nagre-retire na, made na sila or naging successful na sila and they are still around.”
“So, ngayon na nalaman nila meron kaming gagawin, parang na-excite sila. And ako naman ang feeling ko sa ganun is I remember my father saying, wala naman ginawa yung mga fans mo sa'yo ba't mahal ka nila.
“So, what do you do to give back? Wala ka naman puwede gawin, but to be there. Just be there! Be there for them when you have a show. Just be there to show yourself, because they like to see you.”
