Today, many Filipinos want to make it into the showbiz industry. With several opportunities provided for celebrity hopefuls, the competition is getting tighter.
What should an aspiring star do or have in order to make it and to make it big?
Bet ng Bayan host Regine Velasquez-Alcasid identifies the one quality she thinks is essential.
“Siguro ang pinakamalaking quality na nakikita ko na dapat meron is personality,” she said.
Someone who is interesting and knows how to establish rapport with workmates and audiences will definitely have a plus in show business.
“Yung charisma, kailangan. Bihira kasi 'yung meron nun eh,” she revealed.
As dynamic personalities have become rare, the Asia’s Songbird advises dreamers to work on themselves.
“Sa sarili mo 'yun eh. Hindi mo naman naaaral [ang personality]. When you’re given a voice, masuwerte ka, but it takes so much more than that,” she declared.
If someone has individuality and an interesting persona, he or she will have an advantage no matter what happens.
“I don’t think there’s a school for that. You have to really try to make yourself into a better person altogether,” she concluded.
