A-List Pinoy designer to make Marian’s reception gown

(Updated, 9:45 p.m.) The Kapuso Primetime Queen has decided on her wedding reception gown designer.
And her choice is A-List Filipino fashion designer, Francis Libiran.

Libiran has been in the industry for more than 15 years and has designed dresses and gowns for supermodel Tyra Banks and the contestants of America’s Next Top Model Cycle 18.
The biggest and brightest stars in local showbiz are also among his clients.

Marian Rivera, who has known Libiran since her MariMar days, is no exception.
The soon-to-be Mrs. Dantes said, “Si Francis ang isa sa mga gumagawa talaga ng gowns ko kapag may event ako. Ang dami niyang nagawa talaga para sa akin, so isa talaga ito sa mga paborito ko na nagdedesign, so ang saya ko talaga na gagawan niya ako ng gown.”
Libiran, on the other hand, expressed excitement in creating a gown for the Primetime Queen’s special day.
“Siyempre, kasi from the start naman magkakilala na kami ni Marian, so siyempre, I was so happy that part ako ng wedding, so it’s an honor, actually,” he said.
What kind of gown is he planning to create for Marian?
“Gusto ko sanang medyo timeless ‘yung suot ni Marian, ‘yung tipong maa-appreciate some 50 years from now,” he answered.
“Classic, beauty, glamour, that’s it,” he added.
Last Sept. 20, Marian met with Dubai-based Pinoy designer Michael Cinco, who will do her wedding gown.
