Thea Astley marked another career milestone as she opened the first-ever Waterbomb in Manila.
The Sparkle singer and actress kicked off the local edition of the popular South Korean music festival last Saturday, February 22.
Thea took over the stage with her R&B single, "Never," which she released in January 2024.
Thea also delighted the Waterbomb Manila 2025 crowd with her strong vocals when she performed her own rendition of Chappell Roan's "Pink Pony Club."
In a video posted on Instagram by GMA Network, Thea expressed how honored she is to open Waterbomb Manila and said it is an opportunity she will treasure for the rest of her life.
"I just love being on stage... The stage is where I feel free, it's where I feel I belong," Thea mused.
Thea added that she hopes her love for performing on stage transcended to the audience.
The first Waterbomb Manila was staged at the Quirino Grandstand on February 22 and 23 and showcased a star-studded lineup of K-pop, K-Hiphop, and EDM artists.
