In a report by Nelson Canlas on 24 Oras Weekend, Ruru highlighted how it has always been his dream to go to the U.S.
"It's been always my dream na makapunta ako dito sa States, sa Hollywood pa. I'm happy that because of 'Green Bones' I get to do this," Ruru said in the interview.
The Lolong star also expressed how happy he was that the global audience appreciated a local film.
"Nakakatuwa because naaappreciate nila 'yung film ng Pilipinas," Ruru continued.
Green Bones, which took home the Best Picture Award at the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival, had a special screening at the 2025 MIFF led by Ruru, Sofia, and its concept creator, GMA Public Affairs senior program manager JC Rubio.
For her part, Sofia said she felt "kilig" and "thankful" that viewers appreciated her acting in Green Bones.
The Prinsesa ng City Jail star also said she hopes more people get to watch Green Bones.
"I just pray na mas marami pang makapanood," Sofia mused.
