Dingdong Dantes recently flew to California for the 2025 Manila International Film Festival (MIFF), where he presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to veteran actress Boots Anson-Roa.
In an Instagram post, the Kapuso Primetime King expressed how honored he is to have presented the prestigious award to the acclaimed actress, who is also his former professor.
"Last night, I had the distinct honor of presenting the Monty Manibog Lifetime Achievement Award to my former professor turned industry pillar, Boots Anson-Rodrigo," Dingdong mused.
Dingdong continued, "She's been a leading lady on screen, but her biggest role has been behind the scenes--championing the welfare of our industry for over 25 years at MOWELFUND, where I now have the privilege of working alongside her."
According to Dingdong, Boots Anson-Roa is "proof that true icons don't just shine in the spotlight--they use it to uplift others."
Dingdong concluded his post by congratulating Boots Anson-Roa on her latest career milestone.
"Congratulations, Ma'am Boots-- mahal ka namin," Dingdong said.
Aside from Dingdong Dantes, Sparkle stars Ruru Madrid and Sofia Pablo also attended the 2025 MIFF for their award-winning film Green Bones.
