Following news of Ruffa Gutierrez and ex-husband Yilmaz Bektas rekindling a friendship, the Turkish businessman announces he will be coming to the Philippines.

Yilmaz Bektas has confirmed he is planning to visit the Philippines soon.

On his Instagram Story, Yilmaz wrote on Monday, "For public opinion: Regarding the news about me that has been published in the media recently, I would like to say, "Yes, these news are true. I will be visiting the Philippines soon. With m best regards, Yilmaz Bektas."

Recently, actress Ruffa Gutierrez was asked in a press conference about her relationship with ex-husband, Yilmaz.

Ruffa shared Yilmaz has mentioned wanting to propose to her again, but she takes this lightheartedly.

"He couldn't find someone like me and kept searching all over the world. In fact, he wanted to propose and marry me again. I initially thought he was joking," she said in an interview with entertainment media recently.

“Sabi ko, 'Is this a joke?' [Sabi ni Yilmaz], 'No, I want to invite you to be in a train with me' and mag-train daw kami all over Europe. So, sabi ko, 'Totoo ba 'to or baka he's planning my murder on the plane or train,” she quipped.

“At least, we've come to that decision and we can joke and be happy with one another,” Ruffa said.

Ruffa also clarified she is not expecting an actual proposal from Yilmaz.

The former couple got married in 2003 and separated in 2007. They have two daughters, Lorin and Venice.

In 2024, Ruffa confirmed she and Herbert Bautista are in a relationship.
