'Star quality' defined by the Kapuso Primetime King

It was over eighteen years ago when Dingdong Dantes was first seen on television, but until today, he’s still one of the most sought-after and respected men in the industry.
In his sixth season of hosting StarStruck, he shares with GMANetwork.com what he thinks star quality is all about and how artists can stay long in this business.
For him, star quality involves having a dynamic personality and a likability that has been developed by experience and skill.
“I guess [star quality] is something that is not staged, something na alam mong hindi put on,” he said.
The actor also noted how the secrets to making it in show business are passion and talent.
“Kapag nakita mo 'yung isang tao na sincere, yet may presence at may ibubuga, [that’s when you really know],” he added.
Those who really want it should work hard at perfecting their skill and should show determination in reaching their dreams.
“[Sincerity plus presence] 'yung isa sa pinaka-perfect combinations para masabi nating may star quality talaga ang isang kalahok,” he declared.
